Does it make you mad that i have grown?



Does it make you mad that i have grown?
Does it break your heart to realize you made a mistake when you let me go?
If you had a chance would you go back in time and make it all better?
Do you think of me and wonder if the seeds in us would have grown flowers?
When you drunk dial me, does it hurt that i don’t pick up?
Are you sad that i am no longer your 2am addiction?
Do you feel that tiny catch in your breathe when you go through my pictures and see how happy i am now?
Do you still hate that i walked through the door when you held it open?
Are you still scared to death that you’d never find anyone else like me?
Do you also wonder about the roads we never drove on, does it occur to you that they could have been the best ones.
When you have nightmares; who holds your hands through them?
Does it make you sad that I’ve moved on?

We’ve become strangers to ourselves. We barely say two words to each other. I’m watching you slip away, fading gradually.
